Welcome to I am.

I am Chikela, but most people call me Kela. On the surface, I am average – I go to work, church, and hang out with my friends when I can. However, if you take a closer look at me you will notice that I am nowhere near average. I am a daughter of the Most High, a servant for Yahweh, a precious jewel in His crown. No, I am not being braggadocios or arrogant. It’s simply that when you know who you are in Christ, you know it’s your duty to glorify Him at all times and you become excited about being an heir of the Kingdom. But enough about that – let’s move on to the juicy part of all of this –why did I start this blog?

Well, I’ll be honest in saying that I have no idea why I am doing this. I have no idea what it is specifically that I am supposed to blog about. All I know is that a little over a year ago, God placed in my heart to start a blog. But, I didn’t do it. I felt like e’rbody and they mama ‘nem had a blog and I simply was not going to get on that bandwagon. But how many of you know that you can’t outrun God no matter how fast you run? For real though, I was trying to run a marathon with God knowing in the end I would lose (that’s a sermon right there, but maybe for another day). So, about a week or two ago God spoke in a way He never has before.

This is me simply responding to the call and being obedient. Once again, I have no clue what it is I am supposed to blog about. But God said to me, “that’s great! Because that means it’ll be more of me and less of you.” As I am writing this, I feel like He’s saying, “I don’t want to limit you to a specific subject because this is for you.” Oh no, not just me guys. He’s writing this blog through me for you. So, no matter where you are in life, no matter where you come from, what you look like, what you’ve done, this is for you.

With that being said, welcome to I am. A blog where God fills in the blanks according to your needs.
